Odissey into 2012. Chp 6: Broken reflections

A thousand Kaylins stared back at her. She found herself inside a mirrored dome, her reflection multiplied indefinitely.  She stood there, waiting for him. A thousand shadows hurtled across the mirrors.

BANG! She shattered the panel in front of her. A shower of broken glass clinked on the  floor. She kept her hand raised, ready to attack. 

"Wrong shot"

 Darus stood in front of her. The fallen pieces lifted and became a single panel. "Do you like it?" he motioned the dome " It's specially for you".

A thousand Darus cackled with mad laughter. She couldn't bear it any longer. Another panel exploded. 

"Wrong again!"

She kept shattering the mirror panels, until there was a cascade of shards. Darus and his reflections moved too fast, matching her speed. It was no use. The panels repaired themselves few moments after breaking them.

"Did you forget, Kaylin?" Darus finally stopped his taunting dance. "My power stems from yours. You get stronger, I get stronger. Ironic, isn't?  Now..." the Blade glowed in his hand "...I'll take your Zephyr."

He lunged at her. But there's something different: he wouldn't caught her off guard.

Gathering her strength, she raised a light shield in front of her. She saw Darus' evil smile falter as he bounced off it, the Blade flying away from his hand and crash into a panel. The dome's panels cracked. Kaylin's and Darus' reflections crumbled. With a roar of anger, Darus disappeared. 

She called the Light Train. The mirrors no longer repaired themselves. Darus had fled, but she would find him. The hunter had now become the hunted.
